More than 100 runners took on the 13 mile challenge for LPT!

 

Team LPT had so much fun at Cardiff Half last Sunday!

With more than 100 people taking on the 13 mile challenge for LPT, our amazing runners have managed to raise more than £45,000 collectively for our mission of giving Hair and Hope!

This is the largest number of runners we have had at Cardiff Half in LPT history - and we are so grateful for each and every person who part! It was so lovely be in the Welsh capital to cheer everyone on and congratulate them at our tent in the Events Village after they completed the race. It’s safe to say we really did turn Cardiff purple!

We asked some of our runners about their experience running for LPT. One told us that “the support was amazing, the whole way around”, with another saying “it was a really really fun experience for such a great cause”.

Of course, LPT trustee, Tim Wheeler took to the course as Scissorman and it was so great to see so many of the crowds encouraging him from the sidelines during the race.

We would love to send a special thank you to Radnor Hills for their generous donation of water for our runners and Shreddy for providing us with protein bars for after the half marathon - both were great additions to our free goody bags for each of our runners!
