Who are The Little Princess Trust?

The Little Princess Trust is a Herefordshire based charity, founded in 2005. Our mission is to give Hair and Hope to children and young people experiencing hair loss.

To put it simply, we do this in two ways: by providing real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people up to the age of 24, and funding vital research into better and kinder treatments for all childhood cancers.

Here at LPT, we are passionate about ensuring we provide the best possible replacement for the recipient’s natural hair. Our wigs come in a range of colours, lengths, and textures, and our wig fitters do everything possible to cut and style our wigs to the recipient’s preference.

Since 2016, we have had the opportunity to take our mission a step further by funding research into childhood cancers. Compared to adult cancers, childhood cancer is vastly underfunded - and we want to change this!

However, only our mission is only possible thanks to our all of wonderful supporters (and that’s where you guys come in!)

How can I get involved?

To help us to provide our wigs, many of our supporters generously donate their hair. We call these amazing individuals our SuperHairoes!

We are then able to use their lovely locks to create one of our real hair wigs. As it takes between 14-16 different hair donations to make one real hair wig, we are always so grateful for all of our supporters who donate their hair and make this part of our mission, a reality.

What if I don’t want to donate my hair?

If you can’t or don’t want to donate your hair to LPT, don’t worry! There are still plenty of other ways you can get involved and support us!

It costs approximately £700 to provide one real hair wig to a child or young person. This covers the making, fitting, and styling of the wig. To ensure we can provide our real hair wigs free of charge, we are always so grateful for any funds that are raised to help us continue our service.

There are lots of ways our supporters can fundraise for LPT! Many of our SuperHairoes collect sponsorship to help us turn their lovely locks into a wig - but you don’t have to donate your hair in order to support us!

Bake sales at work or school, getting your running shoes on and taking part in an event, or even hosting your own Funky Hair Funday with your friends, classmates, and colleagues are all great ways to support us without donating your hair. We are so grateful for all of the help we receive from everyone who chooses to support us. And please don’t forget, it’s only with the amazing fundraising of all of our wonderful supporters that we are able to continue our wig provision service and fund childhood cancer research.
