Hair donor aims to raise £10,000 for LPT!
Carrie-Anne decided to support LPT following her breast cancer diagnosis.
Carrie-Anne’s working hard to reach her £10,000 fundraising target!
Recently being diagnosed with breast cancer, Carrie-Anne has been told that her treatment may result in hair loss. Although sad to be losing her lovely locks, she decided to take this as an opportunity to do something amazing.
Having seen the impact of childhood cancer and hair loss first-hand, due to her goddaughter being diagnosed with leukaemia at just 4 years old, Carrie-Anne knew how she could make a difference by supporting LPT.
She told us: “My long hair was my pride and joy, and it’s been a huge part of my identity. All my life it’s been as long as possible and the time and effort I’ve put into it over the years really made me want someone else to benefit from it and not see it go to waste”.
She has recently braved the big chop, donating a very generous 15 inches of her lovely locks!
“I was devastated at the thought of losing my long locks and wasn’t ready to brave the shave, but I decided that instead of letting my hair go waste down the shower drain, I would try and turn a negative side effect into something positive.”

Carrie-Anne didn’t stop there, however, and decided to take her support to the next level. Knowing that The Little Princess Trust is a charity that is run solely on donations, this SuperHairo wanted to raise £700 - the cost of providing one real hair wig.
And the response she has received has been phenomenal!
With her total currently standing at £9,150, she has smashed her initial fundraising goals. Carrie-Anne is now keen to reach the £10,000 mark!
Everyone at LPT is sending lots of love and support to Carrie-Anne for her treatment and recovery, we are all so grateful for her wonderful support.
