New children's book focuses on joy of long hair

Author is kindly donating a percentage of sales to LPT

The Little Princess Trust is proud to share news of a new children’s book that celebrates something we love very much – incredibly long hair!

Written and illustrated by Lawrence Roberts, Snip! tells the story of what happens when a little girl decides to not cut her hair.

Lawrence is a supporter of The Little Princess Trust and, with the book featuring something so prominently associated with LPT, the writer from Hampshire has generously pledged to donate 10% of each book sale to support the work of our charity.

This wonderful story uses the power of imagination to make us think about the importance of hair to a child or young person.

Featuring colourful illustrations and funny rhyming text, Snip! has already impressed young audiences when Lawrence read the book to primary school children to commemorate World Book Day.

And LPT founder Wendy Tarplee-Morris is also a fan. She said: “This wonderful story uses the power of imagination to make us think about the importance of hair to a child or young person.”

Lawrence described The Little Princess Trust’s free wig provision service as ‘immensely important’ and said he hoped his new book would help generate publicity and fundraising for LPT.

He also kindly found space within the book to tell his young readers what The Little Princess Trust does – and how they can help.

Published by Apple Pine Press Ltd, Snip! is priced at £7.99 with a 10% donation to the charity.

The book is on sale at independent book shops, can be ordered from Waterstones UK and is also available to purchase direct via www.applepinepress.co.uk - Lawrence can also personalise books ordered direct through Apple Pine Press.
