Wig recipients give thanks to all those donating their hair

Rianna, Millie and Libby say their confidence has had a huge boost

Three inspirational wig recipients have thanked all of those who donate their hair to The Little Princess Trust.

Rianna, Millie and Libby also say their confidence received a huge boost after receiving their LPT wigs.

Millie contacted LPT shortly after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and told of the side-effects of her treatment.

“Knowing I would lose my hair was harder than hearing the word ‘cancer’,” she said.

Millie said that as soon as she put on her wig, she recognised herself again.

“For a lot of people, their hair is their identity and I felt as though my confidence came solely through my hair.

“As soon as I put on my wig, I felt like myself again and recognised myself again.”

Libby, who was diagnosed with Alopecia, told us that receiving her wig was “one of the best feelings in the world”.

“It has brought me so much confidence and I love receiving compliments from people that don’t even realise it’s a wig,” she added.

“It makes me think how lucky I am to receive this wig and thankful to everyone who donates their hair.”

Rianna recieved her wig four days after first contacting The Little Princess Trust.

And Eloise, mother of Rianna, said her daughter’s wig had brought ‘comfort to them all’.

Twelve-year-old Rianna received her wig after being diagnosed with cancer and one of her first worries was also losing her hair.

“We contacted LPT and Rianna had her wig within four days,” added Eloise.
