Michelle completes first ever triathlon for LPT

It is not just Olympic athletes who are inspiring us this week with their sporting endeavours.

For Michelle Penney, one of our amazing wig stylists, has also shone in the London T100 Triathlon.

Michelle, who works at Raoul Wigmakers in London, completed a 1.5k swim, a 40k cycle and a 10k run in 3 hours and 54 minutes!

Having never taken part in a triathlon before, Michelle said her goal was to simply finish the challenge and raise as much money as possible for The Little Princess Trust.

Michelle Penney completed the London T100 Triathlon for LPT.

She certainly did that and, after raising £1,283 for us, she said: “It was light work in comparison to all the people that work behind the scenes, preparing and perfecting a wig for a Little Princess.

“As a wig stylist, I see first-hand the huge benefits that wigs have on children and young people going through a testing time.

“It’s an honour being able to give someone a confidence boost during a difficult period in their life.”

Phil Brace, from The Little Princess Trust, said: "We have worked closely with Raoul Wigmakers for many years to provide our free wigs to children and young people with hair loss.

"We are so grateful to Michelle for her incredible efforts and her phenomenal fundraising which once again underlines the strength of our partnership with the wonderful team at Raoul."
