Annabel organises 'Run & Ramble' for LPT
Annabel organised a farm-based 10 kilometer run or 6.5 kilometer walk, barbecue, and raffle all in aid of LPT!
In 2017, Annabel received a wig from The Little Princess Trust, as she had been experiencing hair loss due to alopecia since the age of 15.
Annabel told us that, "since then, I have always wanted to raise the money back that it would have cost the charity to support me, but only told everyone that I had alopecia last summer".
Deciding in November that it was time to get involved, Annabel organised a farm-based 10 kilometer run or 6.5 kilometer walk, barbecue, and raffle all in aid of LPT, aiming to raise £550 to cover the cost of making a wig.
Since then, she has been training for her run and spreading the word all about her event with friends and family, encouraging everyone to join her in her efforts.
With great weather and a huge turnout of nearly 150 walkers and runners, the group managed to raise a brilliant £4,220 for LPT - an astonishing contribution towards our wig provision service!
Everyone enjoyed it so much, they've asked me to make it an annual thing!
We're sending a huge thank you to Annabel and everyone that took part in her 'Hair and Hound Run and Ramble'. We are all so grateful for every penny that you have raised, it will all be a huge help towards continuing our mission of giving Hair and Hope to the children and young people that we support.
